Reuters Reports on Crown Castle Acquisition of NextG Networks

The Reuters article, ​“Crown Castle to Buy Antenna Systems Co for $1B,” noted that Crown Castle will buy the privately-held NextG Networks Corporation, which operates thousands of distributed antenna systems (DAS) in major cities including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Through this transaction, Crown Castle will expand its presence in the small antenna systems market. The article stated the company currently owns 44 DAS indoor and outdoor networks but the NextG acquisition will bring the number of its antennae nodes to approximately 10,000. Reuters reported Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., Kirkland & Ellis and Kelley Drye & Warren are advisers to NextG, while Cravath, Swaine & Moore is advising Crown Castle.
