Law360 Profiles Special Counsel Wayne J. D’Angelo As One of Its 2013 Rising Stars’

Special Counsel Wayne J. D’Angelo was profiled in the Law360 article Rising Star:  Kelley Drye’s Wayne J. D’Angelo.” The article is part of a Law360 series which spotlights each of the attorneys named to the publication’s Rising Stars of 2013,”  which recognizes top legal talent across the United States under the age of 40.

Law360 selected Mr. D’Angelo as a Rising Star” in Environmental Law for his extensive advocacy on behalf of numerous heavily regulated industries, and his assistance guiding clients through all aspects of the federal rulemaking process, including, where necessary, litigation. He has made a name for himself in the field of emerging energy technologies and on issues surrounding hydraulic fracturing, conventional and non-conventional fuels, resource extraction, and U.S. domestic shale oil and gas development.

When asked what advice he would give to new attorneys, Mr. D’Angelo urged them to look for opportunities outside of an already established practice.  Being a bit younger, I was quick to jump on and start really getting a deep knowledge of new and emerging technology,” D’Angelo said. I was fortunate, or wise, to focus on hydraulic fracturing and unconventional energy sources. I did it because I found it interesting, but it also turned out to be a potential growth area in environmental and energy law.”

Law360 editors reviewed close to 1,000 nominees, whose work spans 23 different practice areas, to arrive at its list of 2013 Rising Stars. Winners were selected based on the strength of their accomplishments in their respective practice groups thus far in their careers, and each attorney will be profiled in Law360 in coming weeks.
