Partner Neil Merkl Selected as Legal Aid Society Board of Directors Member

Partner Neil Merkl was chosen by The Legal Aid Society of New York to serve a three year term on its board of directors. As a member of the board of directors, Mr. Merkl participates in the deliberations of the Legal Aid Society’s meetings especially relating to strategic planning, as well as financial, programming and administrative oversight. Mr. Merkl also participates in organization’s developmental efforts and encourages pro bono support of the work of the society.

Founded in 1876, the Legal Aid Society is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing free, quality legal representation to low-income New Yorkers. The organization handles approximately 275,000 cases and matters each year in civil, criminal and juvenile rights practices.
