Current Developments in Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting Clause Implementation

A Discussion of Compliance and Enforcement trends for Government Contractors and Subcontractors 

DFARS 252.204-7012, Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting, required contractors to put into place the cyber security safeguarding standards set forth in NIST SP 800-171.  Defense contractors were required to implement NIST SP 800-171, as soon as practical, but not later than December 31, 2017.
