Our most popular webinar provides an in-depth discussion of developments and trends affecting the federal Universal Service Fund. We cover all four support programs and the contributions obligations of telecommunications service providers. In addition, due to our deep experience in all of the programs, we offer tips and insights gleaned from audits and enforcement matters involving the USF program.
This unique educational event is intended to help attorneys and non-attorneys navigate the programs and understand the Form 499-A contribution filing due on April 1. Highlights from the 9th Annual Update will include:
- The impact the Restoring Internet Freedom Order will have on USF contributions and classification decisions
- Regulatory changes in the CAF fund, Mobility Fund, and Lifeline Program
- An in-depth analysis of common audit findings in each of the four programs and in contributions audits
- Major enforcement actions involving the E-rate, Lifeline, and Rural Health Care programs
In addition, we will offer tips and recommendations for navigating the overlapping roles of USAC, the FCC Office of Managing Director, the Enforcement Bureau, the Office of Inspector General and the Wireline Competition Bureau, providing practical insights into how to deal with each.
