Kelley Drye Offices Answer the Call to ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Over the past two weeks, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has swept through the offices of Kelley Drye & Warren LLP. Kelley Drye client Seth Krauss, Chief Legal Officer of WME|IMG, challenged the firm’s New York office after his company was nominated by actor Hugh Jackman. In turn, the New York office set the challenge on Kelley Drye’s Parsippany, NJ; Stamford, CT; Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; and Los Angeles, CA offices, all of which have risen to the task.

Attorneys and staff in each of the firm’s offices gathered together to raise money for ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Utilizing creative strategies for fundraising, such as a raffle for the honor of dumping a bucket of ice water on a fellow Kelley Drye employee and a voting system to elect those to be doused in cold water, Kelley Drye raised over $12,000 for the life-threatening disease.

After completing the task, Kelley Drye nominated clients LabCorp, Thomson Reuters, Redwood Trust, and NOS Communications, as well as several members of the Kelley Drye community for the Ice Bucket Challenge.
