Mr. Yorkgitis represents a wide range of service providers, including competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs) and emerging providers of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and other enhanced services, in all aspects of state and federal communications laws. This includes negotiation, arbitration and enforcement of interconnection agreements and service contracts; development of Federal Communication Commission (FCC) and state implementing regulations; regulatory compliance, agency and private adjudications; and regulatory matters related to mergers, acquisitions and other transactions in today’s fast changing environment. He represents a number of carriers and other utilities in matters related to pole attachments, conduit occupancy rights, local franchises and public rights-of-way in numerous municipalities around the United States.
Mr. Yorkgitis also represents wireless carriers on issues related to interconnection, FCC licensing, foreign ownership, spectrum allocation, management of stations, and adherence to operational and technical regulations. He has represented satellite carriers and their customers in negotiating transponder, capacity and other commercial arrangements, as well as complying with all facets of federal regulation.
