DEBORAH L. BILOTTI Special Counsel
Deborah Bilotti is special counsel in the Real Estate practice and is based in the firm’s Parsippany office.  Her practice focuses on commercial real estate and finance.  Debbie has represented investment banks, commercial banks, insurance companies, real estate funds, REITS and other institutional lenders in a wide variety of real estate finance transactions involving all property classes including office buildings, shopping centers, hotels and resorts, industrial and warehouse properties, and apartment complexes.

Debbie represents lenders in commercial real estate loan transactions across the United States, including mezzanine, construction and permanent financing and specializes in complex financing arrangements with multiple layers of debt, negotiating intercreditor agreements, co-lending arrangements and participation agreements.  Moreover, she is experienced in resolving workouts of troubled loans, negotiating forbearance agreements and restructuring documents.

Debbie previously served as senior vice president and in-house counsel at a regional construction lender.  This in-house experience helps Debbie better serve clients.  She knows, from first-hand experience, how to work with in-house professionals to integrate legal solutions that support her clients’ objectives.
 
Managed the due diligence and closing of a $643,000,000, 17 state, 105 property portfolio on behalf of a multi-lender group.

Closed participating mortgage transactions, involving both a multi-family property and a shopping center as collateral.

Represented clients in connection with the acquisition, sale, development, and construction of all types of commercial, industrial, retail and hotel properties.

Counseled numerous clients in all aspects of real estate investment and real estate development, including property management agreements, architect agreements, entity formation, financing requirements.
