# Siemens Pays Record Fine for FCPA Violations

Siemens AG recently paid over $1.6 billion in fines and penalties under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. This is the largest fine paid under the Act to date, and it serves as an important reminder of the ramifications of a failure to comply with the Act. This client advisory provides a summary of the requirements of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, as well as suggestions for compliance with the Act.
