# U.S. Congress, Obama Focus on Food Safety Reform

The article addressed recent U.S. legislation to reform food monitoring and accountability. It discussed enhanced reporting, certification and labeling requirements and seafood-specific legislation. The article also commented on how the current political climate makes it highly likely that passage of such reforms will occur within the next two years.
