# The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel Interviews Partner John E. Villafranco on Advertising Self-Regulation

Partner [John Villafranco](/Our-People/John-E-Villafranco) was featured in the *Metropolitan Corporate Counsel* article ​“Ad Cops After Four Decades: Report Finds Self-Regulation Works, but Popularity May Lead to Change.” In the interview, John discusses the working group that he led which released the April 2015 report ​“Self-Regulation of Advertising in the United States: An Assessment of the National Advertising Division.” He explains that they believe the NAD process works well however, the report provides recommendations for solutions to certain issues.
