# Recent Trends In Whistleblower Litigation - Part I: An Increasing Challenge for Employers and Their Counsel

The article analyzes whistleblower claims brought under the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002 and discusses the increasing visibility and popularity of whistleblower claims. Part I, appearing in the July 2005 issue, reviews the numerous federal and state statutes which provide whistleblower protections, thus creating many potential causes of action for disgruntled employees. It also provides an introduction to the new whistleblower protections created by Sarbanes Oxley.
