# Preventing Violence in the Workplace – When the Company Calls 911

This article looks at the increasing prevalence of workplace violence in the United States. All employers must be aware of what it can and should do to address and prevent violence. Employers have to be vigilant about keeping their workplaces safe, and watching for signs that a troubled employee may be about to ​“explode.” Discussed are some of the steps that an employer can take to prevent these situations from occurring.
