# Parsing FTC’s Intercontinental-Black Knight Merger Challenge

The FTC is challenging the merger between Intercontinental and Black Knight. In this *Law360* article, [Dave Evans](https://www.kelleydrye.com/Our-People/David-H-Evans) examines why the FTC filed motion for a preliminary injunction in an Article III court, but it didn’t stay the proceedings before the administrative judge. This created two parallel potentially conflicting litigation tracks, which the commission resisted halting until June 23 when they relented and agreed to stay the administrative proceedings.
