# Madoff Trustee v. the Wilpons - Meet the Mess

The article reviews the dispute between trustees of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS) and Fred Wilpon. It is believed that Irving Picard, the BLMIS trustee, will seek to recover tens of millions of dollars on behalf of the BLMIS bankruptcy estate from Mr. Wilpon, who is the owner of the New York Mets, his family and affiliated enterprise. Trustees believe the Madoff Group collectively profited, withdrawing hundreds of millions from BLMIS over the years.
