# India’s New Telecom Regulations

The article reviews India’s new regulations which impose restrictions on telecom equipment made and sold by non-Indian manufacturers to telecom service providers located in India. The regulations cover telecom software, source code, requirements for operation and maintenance of telecom networks and security clearances. The authors also discuss India’s prime minister’s directive relating to the regulations and the Indian government’s response.
