Partner [Eric McClafferty](/Our-People/Eric-McClafferty) authored the *Valve Magazine* article ​“Important Change Coming to Key Valve Export Category.” The article outlines and analyzes a new set of changes coming to the U.S. valve industry. Recently, the U.S. and other countries belonging to the informal international organization called the Australia Group agreed to a revision of one of the primary valve export control categories covering chemical equipment. Before the changes take effect Eric recommends that valve manufacturers, distributors, resellers, engineering companies and others in the fluid handling industry determine how the new control will apply to products, software, technology transfers and the provision of services to ensure that export licenses are obtained when required.
