# Common Mistakes Occur When Lawyers E-file Documents

A final part of the process of finalizing a pleading is electronically filing the document. It is a small step but nevertheless it can bring stress to litigators due to some common mistakes. The Electronic Case Filing system is not necessarily complicated but with a midnight deadline approaching, you do not want to discover that you do not know how to properly e-file a document. The author discusses common mistakes that e-filers make, such as not carefully reviewing their filings before submission, filing the wrong document, incorrectly titling a document, or filing the document in the wrong case. Seeking help, for instance, calling the courtroom deputy handing the case, is one recommended solution.
