# CARB Enforcement Reforms - Leveling the Playing Field

This article discusses the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) lack of aggressive enforcement actions against imported products that are unsafe and fail to comply with emissions standards. [Bill Guerry](/Our-People/William-M-Guerry-Jr) discusses efforts to make CARB enforcement transparent, consistent and fair. He reviews Senate Bill 1402, what actions it requires CARB to take and how this bill will affect the outdoor power equipment industry.
