Partner and State Attorneys General practice chair [Paul Singer](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/paul-l-singer), Special Counsel [Abby Stempson](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/abigail-stempson) and [Beth Chun](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/beth-bolen-chun), and Associate [Andrea deLorimier](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/andrea-delorimier) authored “AG Watch: Texas Junk Fee Deal Shows Enforcement Priorities” for *Law360*. The article covers a settlement between the Texas Attorney General’s office and Booking Holdings, Inc. for junk fee practices. The agreement with Texas comes in a wave of other enforcement actions and regulations from other states regarding fees and pricing. The authors conclude with a question and answer section for businesses as they consider their compliance plans.

“But regardless of the application of specific state fee laws, companies should consider whether fee disclosures generally meet the precepts of transparency, conspicuousness and meeting consumers’ reasonable expectations that are inherent in states’ UDAP authority. All states will continue to scrutinize these practices.”
