Sabrina is currently involved in assisting states seeking recovery from degradation of drinking water and wildlife as a result of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other forms of contamination. Sabrina also counsels private-sector clients in navigating compliance with emerging rules and regulations in the environmental and consumer protection space. Sabrina is active in pro bono practice, focusing on immigration and women’s rights. Previously, Sabrina was a law clerk in the Conservation Law Foundation’s Clean Air and Water Program. While at Boston College Law School, she represented clients in civil litigation in the Legal Assistance Bureau, and earned a certificate in Regulatory Compliance. Sabrina also studied climate science and policy in Sydney, Australia. Following a month of trial in federal court in Camden, DuPont and related companies agreed to a record setting settlement with New Jersey valued at $2 billion in remediation, restoration, costs, and damages. On the eve of this trial, 3M settled-out for up to $450 million more in PFAS damages to New Jersey. At $2 billion, DuPont’s settlement with New Jersey is the largest environmental recovery for a single plaintiff – and is one of the largest legal recoveries of any kind – in the history of the country. Advises water providers with regard to state and federal PFAS regulatory compliance. Serves on a team representing the State of Texas in litigation against chemical manufacturers for deceptive trade practices related to PFAS-containing products. Serves on a team representing the State of Rhode Island in litigation against chemical manufacturers for statewide PFAS contamination. Serves on a team representing the State of North Carolina in litigation against DuPont and Chemours over widespread PFAS and GenX discharges impacting the Cape Fear River and surrounding communities. #### Pro Bono Served as trial counsel for a domestic violence survivor in defending against claims of malicious prosecution and abuse of process brought by her former spouse in federal court in the Eastern District of New York. After the client had represented herself for eight years, Kelley Drye took on the matter pro bono and immediately prepared the case for trial on an expedited schedule.
