 Over the course of more than three decades of practice, David Retter focused his practice on corporate trust and bankruptcy matters.

David represented indenture trustees with respect to both new debt offerings and default and bankruptcy situations. He was involved in virtually every aspect of corporate trust activity, including traditional indenture work, various types of agency arrangements, novel forms of debt and equity financings, and defaults and bankruptcies. He also worked on many major bankruptcies involving indenture trustees.

In addition, David counseled clients on their international financing transactions both at the ​“front end,” representing banks acting as trustees, fiscal agents, escrow agents and paying agents in major new projects in Southeast Asia and Asia, and at the ​“back end” when these types of projects went into default.

He is currently a life partner in the firm.
