This honor recognizes the pro bono work for the people served by YAI. Kelley Drye has represented YAI on a pro bono basis since 2010. The firm recently represented YAI, when its landlord threatened non-renewal of its lease for one of YAI’s oldest and largest Manhattan residences for developmentally disabled adults. As a result YAI’s residents were at serious risk of losing their home at the height of the economic downturn. After approximately two years, and following long and arduous negotiations, Kelley Drye finalized an agreement with the landlord which will allow the residents to remain in their secure home for the foreseeable future. Kelley Drye partners **Frederic S. Nathan** and **Robert E. Crotty** negotiated the final agreement with YAI’s landlord.
