Partner [Andrea Calvaruso](/Our-People/Andrea-L-Calvaruso) was quoted in the *Women’s Wear Daily* article ​“Cult Gaia Seeks $15 Million for Steve Madden’s ​‘Blatant’ Copying.” Andrea represents Cult Gala in litigation with Steve Madden over the company’s Ark bag. Andrea, noted that the bag at issue has a ​“distinct combination of elements,” which are now recognized a ​“signature” of the brand.

“By refusing to back down to the threat of litigation,” said Andrea, ​“Cult Gaia is sending a powerful message to corporations that build their businesses by unfairly trading on the hard-earned rights of others.”
