# TR Daily Quotes Partner Chip Yorkgitis on CLEC Tariffing Order

Partner Chip Yorkgitis was quoted in the *TR Daily* article, ​“CLEC Tariffing Order May Bring Some Challenges.” The article discusses how an FCC ruling set to take effect in November requiring competitive local exchange carriers to file their tariffs electronically will require CLECs to be more precise in their tariff wording and will give incumbent CLECs a bigger window to oppose such agreements before they are deemed lawful.

Mr. Yorkgitis noted that the orders language may raise questions about whether there is a policy change when it comes to whether CLECs can provide service jointly. While he said he didn’t think that was intended, the issue might be raised. The agreements you enter into with your joint billing party should be consistent with the services you are providing, he said.
