# The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel Interviews Partner Sarah L. Reid on Diversity in Law Firms

Partner Sarah L. Reid was featured in *The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel* article titled ​“Diversity Matures at Law Firms: Ask Sarah Reid.” Ms. Reid discussed how the definition of diversity has changed over the years, the common challenges faced by new attorneys of diverse backgrounds and the importance of supporting diversity at the professional level. The article also discussed the mentoring programs that Kelley Drye offers, such as the Practicing Attorneys for Law Students program, the summer associate program with JPMorgan Chase and the Cristo Rey corporate work-study program for high school students. The article also noted that Kelley Drye is a member of the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals and supports various diversity networking organizations, such as the New York and D.C. Minority Attorney Networking Series and Cafécito – a series of informal networking breakfasts for Latina women attorneys in New York’s public and private sectors.
