# The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel Interviews Partner Julian Solotorovsky on Internal Investigations

Partner and chair of the White Collar Crime and Investigations practice group, Julian Solotorovsky, provided a Q&A interview for *The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel* article, ​“Governmental Impact on Internal Investigations.” Mr. Solotorovsky discussed the increase in internal investigations. He explained why the government relies on companies to investigate themselves. He explained the Filip Memorandum, providing its context, following the McNulty Memo. Mr. Solotorovsky also discussed cooperation with the government and waivers of the attorney-client and attorney work product privileges. Finally, he addressed minimizing electronic investigations.
