An *SNL Financial* article, ​“Capmark’s Put Option Deal Could Mean Greater Likelihood of Bankruptcy, Other Restructuring,” quoted partner Timothy R. Lavender regarding Capmark Financial Group, Inc.’s put option agreement with Berkshire Hathaway Inc. and Leucadia National Corp. Mr. Lavender discussed the premium paid by Capmark to the newly formed Berkadia III LLC, for the put option; the likelihood of Capmark’s exit from the servicing and mortgage banking business; and the possibility of a bankruptcy filing or other restructuring arrangement.
