# Partner Larry Lasoff Quoted in a BNA Daily Report for Executives Article

Partner Larry Lasoff was quoted in a *BNA Daily Report for Executives* article, titled, ​“Canada Cautious on Buy American Softening; Critics Say Senate Amendment Not Enough.” The article covers differing views regarding the stimulus bill and the amendment that passed the Senate on February 4, 2009 stating that the ​“Buy America” provision will be administered consistently with U.S. international trade obligations.

The article included comments that were made by Mr. Lasoff at a February 5, 2009 Global Business Dialogue event that covered the Buy America provision. He noted that while the scope of the provision has not yet been resolved, once it goes through conference and ultimately is enacted, he has ​“not doubt that… there will sure be pressure on the agencies to make sure there is consistency,” with international trade obligations, and added that that the ​“United States has implemented such provisions consistent with international obligations.”
