# Partner Julian Solotorovsky Quoted Regarding ​“Honest Services” Fraud Statute in Multiple News Outlets

In a *Chicago Tribune* article, ​“Supreme Court Could Strike Down Public Corruption Law,” partner Julian Solotorovsky was quoted regarding the ​“honest services” statute – a law invoked against public corruption. The statute makes it illegal for officials and executives to deprive those who they serve of the ​“intangible right to honest services.” The Supreme Court is scheduled to address the validity of the law in two separate cases this December. If the statute is scaled back or struck down, it could threaten several high-profile cases, including that of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.
