# Marketplace Interviews Partner William C. MacLeod on the FTC’s 100th Anniversary

Partner William C. MacLeod was interviewed on the National Public Radio program *Marketplace* for their story ​“Happy 100th, FTC.” Marking the 100th anniversary of the Federal Trade Commission, the program took a look at how the agency has changed over the past 100 years. Mr. MacLeod commented that now the Commission pays a lot of attention to technology, data security, and virtual currencies like bitcoin. He said, ​“The FTC today is as different as the means and media of communication are today.”
