# Litigation Partner Comments on ERISA-Related Lawsuits in Corporate Legal Times

Partner Sarah Reid was quoted in a Corporate Legal Times article entitled ​“ERISA Suits Place Increased Burdens On Fiduciaries,” which discusses ERISA class actions against fiduciaries, and the resulting precautionary measures taken by fiduciaries to protect their clients.

Sarah states, ​“ERISA-related lawsuits are an area of potential exposure that companies will have to be very sensitive to it over the next couple of years…Corporate lawyers have generally seen that \[their job in pension oversight is\] to analyze and implement regulations and changes \[to those regulations\], but that’s no longer enough. In addition to being completely compliant under the regulations and the law, in-house counsel now have to function on a broader level.”
