Hoey on Faruqi & Faruqi Sexual Harassment Case February 6, 2015 Labor and Employment practice group chair [Barbara E. Hoey](/Our-People/Barbara-E-Hoey) is quoted in the *Law360* article, ​“Faruqi Trial Jury Took Command Of Complex Legal Concepts” regarding the verdict in the sexual harassment lawsuit between Faruqi & Faruqi LLP partner Juan Monteverde and former associate Alexandra Marchuk. The jurors delivered a verdict that awarded damages totaling $140,000 to the former associate – but only for violations of New York City’s plaintiff-friendly Human Rights Law. In doing so, the jurors proved a reasonable doubt that they never stopped paying attention and, ​“obviously tried to follow the legal instructions here,” Ms. Hoey said.
