In the *Law360* article, ​“Riddell Moves To Toss New Complaint In Helmet Suit,” partner [Michael C. Lynch](/Our-People/Michael-C-Lynch) is referenced as Riddell Inc.’s counsel, filing a motion to dismiss a new complaint against the sports equipment manufacturer in a proposed class action. Plaintiff has accused Riddell of misleading consumers about the concussion safety benefits of its youth football helmets. The Kelley Drye team argued, ​“Plaintiff consistently alleges that the misleading nature of Riddell’s statements were that the UPMC study did not include youth helmets in the testing regimen. What plaintiff does not allege is how that statement is misleading.” The motion further states, ​“on nearly every side of the packaging for the product that plaintiff alleges to have purchased is a clear warning that states youth helmets were not tested, and that no helmet can prevent concussions.”
