Partners [William MacLeod](/Our-People/William-C-MacLeod), and [David Frulla ](/Our-People/David-E-Frulla)and senior associate [Elizabeth Johnson](/Our-People/Elizabeth-C-Johnson) were mentioned in the *Law360* article “$2.8B Ed. Dept. Debt Deal Cases Stayed For Solution Talks.”

The $2.8 billion U.S. Department of Education contract covers the collection of unpaid student loan debts issued by federal loan programs. Only seven out of 23 companies were awarded the contract, causing a number of bid protests. Judge Susan G. Braden granted a 30-day stay for the parties involved to come up with a ​“global solution” to the arguments. Until May 19, all protestors agreed to temporarily stop the disputes.
