The *Law360* article, ​“Sprint Beats Sanctions In Suit Over Tax Charges,” mentions Kelley Drye partners [Joseph A. Boyle](/Our-People/Joseph-A-Boyle), [Damon W. Suden](/Our-People/Damon-W-Suden) and [Lauri A. Mazzuchetti](/Our-People/Lauri-A-Mazzuchetti) for successfully defending Sprint Spectrum as a Judge refused to order sanctions against them in a proposed class action for claims of passing a state excise tax masked as a mandatory tax charge to customers. In the opinion, U.S. District Magistrate Judge Kevin N. Fox rejected plaintiff’s motion, saying that plaintiff has not shown how preclusion of the data is ​“properly applicable” in the case, noting that he ​“was on notice that Sprint intended to produce write-off data in support of its claims and defenses.”
