Kelley Drye & Warren LLP Opens Applications for First Annual Diversity Scholarship
Kelley Drye announced today that the firm is now accepting applications for their first annual diversity scholarship.
The Kelley Drye Diversity Scholarship provides a $25,000 award to an outstanding second-year law student and includes a paid summer associate position following the second year of law school. Half of the scholarship will be paid upon successful completion of the summer program, and the balance upon starting as a full-time associate at the firm. The recipient(s) will work in the firm’s New York office.
“This is an important step for us at Kelley Drye,” said Venetta Amory, the firm’s director of diversity. “We have a longstanding pledge to create a diverse workplace, and this scholarship provides another opportunity to continue those efforts. There are many outstanding, diverse candidates in law school, we hope this scholarship helps make a difference and demonstrates our commitment.”
The application period for the 2019 Diversity Scholarship has opened, and it will close on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as they can during the open period as interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
