The team, which included [Philip Robben](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/philip-d-robben), [Andrew Homer](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/andrew-w-homer), [Lana Rowenko](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/lana-rowenko), [Melissa Byroade](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/melissa-e-byroade), [Ivan Morales](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/ivan-f-morales), [Julia Schuurman](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/julia-schuurman), [Maria Pimienta](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/maria-pimienta), [Tim Hopper](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/timothy-hopper), and Ken Blankenship, was able to secure the largest legal recovery in maritime history. Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown told *Law​.com*, in their [article ](https://www.law.com/nationallawjournal/2026/05/15/marylands-litigation-strategy-secures-225b-settlement-in-bridge-collapse-case/)on the settlement, ​“This $2.25 billion settlement reflects the full measure of accountability we were able to secure from the vessel interests.” Kelley Drye’s co-counsel in the litigation included members of the Maryland Attorney General’s Office as well as counsel from Liskow & Lewis APLC, Downs Ward Bender Herzog & Kintigh PA, The Lanier Law Firm, and Partridge LLC.
