# Kelley Drye Task Force on Racial Justice Teams with ACLU in Louisiana

As a continuation of the work begun by the firm’s Task Force on Racial Equality, a Kelley Drye team, in partnership with the ACLU of Louisiana, sued the Lafayette Consolidated Government and several officials, including the Mayor-President, to vindicate our client’s First and Fourth Amendment rights after she was illegally arrested for engaging in a peaceful barbeque protest on a wide open public street outside the Mayor-President’s house.
