# Kelley Drye Represents Kennametal Inc. in Acquisition of the Widia Group

As reported in the *New York Law Journal’s* New Deals column, Kelley Drye’s India Practice Group represented Kennametal Inc., a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of metal-cutting tools, in its acquisition of the overseas metal-cutting units of plastics and metalworking company Milacron Inc. for approximately $170 million.

Under the terms of the agreement, Kennametal will purchase a 77 percent stake in Germany-based Widia Group, a manufacturer of steel tools that has plants in western Europe and India.
