# Kelley Drye Pro Bono Practice Featured in Video From the Brooklyn Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers

Miguelina’s son Moises was born in 1998 in the Dominican Republic. In search of a better life, Miguelina moved to the US with Moises when he was sixteen. When Moises turned eighteen, Miguelina began to fear the worst: losing the ability to make the most significant decisions affecting her adult son’s life. Her guardianship case was placed with a pro bono team from Kelley Drye to help navigate the maze of evaluations, medical clearances, and required background checks. This team was successful in helping Miguelina obtain guardianship of Moises.
