# In America Documentary Series Spotlights Kelley Drye’s Diversity Efforts

In fact, *The American Lawyer’s* 2015 Diversity Scorecard ranked Kelley Drye 41 out of 220 law firms.

As an expression of the firm’s diversity and inclusion guiding principles, several leaders at Kelley Drye were interviewed about diversity for the documentary series *In America with James Earl Jones*. [Kathleen W. Cannon](/Our-People/Kathleen-W-Cannon), managing partner of the Washington, D.C., office; [Venetta Amory](mailto:vamory@kelleydrye.com), director of diversity; and [James S. Carr](/Our-People/James-S-Carr), firm chair, spoke about the challenges that the legal industry faces in recruiting and retaining diverse talent, and the initiatives that Kelley Drye has undertaken to address these challenges.

The video features examples of how Kelley Drye’s policies have enabled attorneys to succeed through unconventional paths. It also provides advice to young lawyers and addresses the benefits of working with diverse teams.
