With the advent of generative AI, fake reviews are becoming more advanced and difficult to detect.

*CMSWire* took a look at the practice of fake reviews and asked Kelley Drye’s [John Villafranco](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/john-e-villafranco) to weigh in on both the recently updated FTC Endorsement Guides and the proposed rules which would ban fake reviews and testimonials including reviews by reviewers who do not exist.
