# Carrie Owens Quoted on Tariff Enforcement

Partner [Carrie Owens](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/carrie-l-owens) was quoted by *Bloomberg Law* in their article ​“Higher Tariff Enforcement Looms in Tandem With Refund Launch.’ The piece covers the expected increase in scrutiny from Customs and Border Protection as the agency prepares to process tariff refunds. The article reports that there has been a 5,000% increase in revenue collection by Customs.

“There already is a heightened review of the information filed,” said Carrie. The 5,000% jump, ​“is more than just revenues going up from tariffs,” she added. ​“It’s showing that there’s more focus on enforcement.”
