# Carrie Owens Quoted in Fortune

Partner [Carrie Owens](https://www.kelleydrye.com/people/carrie-l-owens) was quoted by *Fortune* in their article, “‘If Your Tariff Was 0%, There’s No Need To Commit Fraud’: The White House is Sounding Off On a $112 Billion Tariff-Dodging Scheme it Made Worse.” The article covers the Trump Administration’s recent crackdown on tariff fraud. Carrie argued that ​“tariff dodgers are squeezing the companies paying their fair share of tariffs, leaving them to compete with businesses who aren’t burdened by the levies in the same way they are.”

“The good actors that are doing what they’re supposed to and paying their revenue, foreign companies that are importing the United States that are following the rules—they’re being hurt as well,” she said.
