# Bloomberg BNA Quotes Partner Alysa Zeltzer Hutnik on FTC Data Security Case Interference

Partner [Alysa Zeltzer Hutnik](/Our-People/Alysa-Z-Hutnik) was quoted in the *Bloomberg BNA* article ​“Issa Blasted for ​‘Interfering’ With FTC Data Security Case.” The article discusses how Senate Commerce Committee chairman objects to House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa’s (R-Calif.) planned July 24 hearing to examine FTC data security enforcement efforts. Ms. Hutnik explained that one of the most closely-watched areas is how the FTC is enforcing its ​“unfairness” power. ​“Few FTC cases are litigated. That means the examples of how the commission interprets its unfairness authority are gleaned from the FTC’s settlements—cases in which the FTC is acting in the role of prosecutor, judge and jury,” she said.
