The article discusses the latest appellate decision in a long-running trademark dispute between PRL Holdings USA, Inc. and United States Polo Association, Inc. over the use of the distinctive horse and rider mark. According to the article, ​“On Monday Ralph Lauren’s lawyers at Kelley Drye & Warren scored a win in the latest skirmish over the company’s trademark, persuading the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to rule that the U.S. Polo Association can’t use its own polo player mark on fragrances and cosmetics.” The ruling upheld a March 2012 trial court ruling in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
