# American Metal Market Quotes Partner Larry Lasoff on Indian Steel Duties

Partner [Larry Lasoff](/Our-People/Laurence-J-Lasoff) was quoted in the *American Metal Market* article ​“Stainless Bar Duties Sought vs. Viraj, Venus.” Seven U.S. stainless steel bar producers are calling on the Commerce Department to reinstate Viraj Profiles Ltd. and Venus Wire Industries Pvt. Ltd. under an existing anti-dumping duty order against imports of the product from India. U.S. producers allege that the two Indian producers resumed dumping of their stainless steel bar in the United States recently. ​“If the anti-dumping duty order is to function properly, the department must ensure that conditionally revoked companies adhere to the conditions of their revocation agreements,” Larry said.
