# American Metal Market Quotes Partner John M. Herrmann on International Trade Commission Decision

Partner [John Herrmann](/Our-People/John-M-Herrmann-II) was quoted in the *American Metal Market* article ​“GOES imports from 3 nations not hurting US.” The article discusses the International Trade Commission (ITC) ruling on August 27 to not impose anti-dumping duties on imports of grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) from Germany, Japan and Poland. John commented that ​“We were very disappointed and surprised by the commission’s determinations. We thought the facts warranted an affirmative determination.” He also said that the domestic industry will decide its next course of action—which could potentially entail an appeal to the U.S. Court of International Trade—once the ITC’s written views are released.
