# American Lawyer Reports on Kelley Drye’s Representation of the American Council of Life Insurers

Kelley Drye’s representation of the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) in an amicus brief was noted in the *American Lawyer* article, ​“Delaware Supreme Court Restricts Third-Party Life Insurance Sales but Keeps Market Alive.” The article reported on a decision of the Delaware Supreme Court that allows insurance companies to challenge ​“life settlement” investors who purchase life insurance policies from third parties. Partner [Neil Merkl](/Our-People/Neil-Merkl) and senior associate [Cliff Katz](/Our-People/Clifford-Katz) represented ACLI.
